This April, the International Organization of Employers (IOE) released a guiding document entitled “IOE Guidance on Teleworking in the times of COVID-19” providing practical guidance to employers in understanding the main challenges of teleworking during emergency situations, as well as to provide key measures for its effective implementation.

The document summarizes the main challenges of teleworking such as health and mental wellbeing, work-life balance, technology, data protection and security, skills, and productivity. It presents proposed key measures and lessons learnt from COVID-19 as a guide for both employers and employees.
