A guide released by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in May 2020 lists recommendations for health and safety practices and approaches to COVID-19 prevention.

With contents based on materials developed by numerous organizations from around the globe like Belgian social partners and government experts, Manufacturing NZ, Irish Business and Employers Confederation, Union Industrial Argentina, Chilean Chamber of Construction, Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Agriculture in Guatemala, as well as materials and guidance from the World Health Organization, the guide aims to provide ideas to employers on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace, enabling workers to return safely, and protecting the mental well-being of workers during the pandemic.

The ILO encourages all enterprises to adopt these recommendations to ensure the health of their people and possibly minimize the negative effects of the crisis on businesses.
