Program overview

The Certified Payroll and Benefits Associate (CPBA) and Certified Total Rewards Associate (CTRA) is geared towards certifying compensation and benefits practitioners.  

Launched by the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), in partnership with HR Management and Business Inc., it aims to help ECOP member and non-member companies to be inlined with the latest compensation and benefits policies and total rewards management practices in different organizations. 

The Certified Payroll and Benefits Associate (CBPA) comprises five modules, from minimum wage law to government-mandated benefits. It also tackles how to compute government-mandated wages and benefits properly. At the same time, the Certified Total Rewards Associate (CTRA) comprises four modules, from Job analysis to performance management system. The CTRA focuses on designing compensation structures linked with performance and rewards management.

Terms and Conditions 

1. Registration fees must be settled one day before the start of the training program.
2. The participant must attend at least 80% of the prescribed modules of the certification program.
3. The participant must pass 100% of the assessment to be awarded his/her certification. 
4. Participants interested in being CTRA certified must attend and pass both CPBA and CTRA programs.  
5. The hard copy of the certificate shall be retrieved at ECOP’s office. Additional shipping fees shall be applied if a participant wishes ECOP to ship the hard copy of the certificate to their office. 
6. For those participants who will finish the program and will not take the certification, they will receive a certificate of participation.
7. For CPBA, attendees who will participate in any or all of the 11 modules but not take the assessment will receive a Certificate of  Participation. Participants who will take and pass the assessment will be granted the Certificate in Payroll and Benefits Associate.
8. For CTRA, attendees who will participate in any or all of the 2 modules but not take the assessment will receive a Certificate of  Participation. Participants who will take and pass the assessment will be granted the Certificate in Total  Rewards Associate.
