We are currently living in unprecedented times where a deadly global pandemic is causing global recession resulting into mass unemployment and companies closing down their businesses. Amidst this emerging grim economic reality, now more than ever, entrepreneurs are called to rise to the challenge and capitalize on the crisis and turn it into an opportunity. As Linda Rottenberg, the co-founder of the non-profit Endeavor, once said: “When economies turn down, entrepreneurs turn up.”

The Employers Confederation of the Philippines, in partnership with Wadhwani Foundation, a non-profit organization with the primary mission of accelerating economic development in emerging economies by driving large-scale job creation through entrepreneurship, innovation and skills development, is launching a program called Prescriptions for Business Survival and Sustainability in a Pandemic with the goal of helping start-up entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs learn the necessary skills in identifying and developing an opportunity into a new business venture especially during challenging times.

The series will touch on 4 key topics namely:

  • Episode 1- Starting and Redesigning Your Business During a Pandemic: Using Design Thinking Principles and Applications
  • Episode 2- Building a Sustainable Business Model: Business Opportunities During Times of a Pandemic
  • Episode 3- Building an “A” Team for your Enterprise: Getting the Right People to Do the Job
  • Episode 4- Getting Venture Capital for Your Enterprise: Finding Capital to Start Your Business
