“As we hear each other’s ideas on how to overcome the challenges of this pandemic, I have no doubt that we will find ways where to collaborate—reimagine a future that works for all, empower the community where you belong, do good and honest business, contribute to the honest nation building. Nothing less than forging a fair and humane society,” Vice President Leni Robredo said in her Keynote Address in ECOP’s previous National Conference of Employer (NCE) conducted virtually in 2020.

This year, with the theme “Reform. Rebound. Recover.”, ECOP is once again privileged to have the Vice President to deliver the Keynote Address for NCE42 this coming June 2021. VP Leni has also been ECOP’s Keynote Speaker for NCE 39 and NCE 40 in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

A year has passed since the Coronavirus pandemic hit the world, ECOP, through the NCE and its other advocacy vehicles, affirms its continued commitment to the promotion of industrial harmony, social justice, job preservation, and national growth, ensuring that employers in the Philippines are informed and updated with national strategies and programs to normalize the economy.

“We need the support of the entire business community. While our mandate is to be at the forefront representing employers in policy- and decision-making processes, it is crucial that we hear your insights and views, especially those that are coming from the ground reflecting the realities of enterprises,” Mr. George T. Barcelon, ECOP Vice President and this year’s NCE Organizing Committee Chair, said in his statement during the unveiling of the NCE42 theme during the 46th Members General Meeting (MGM) last 25 March 2021.

The NCE is an annual event which provides employers the opportunity to discuss amongst themselves and with other stakeholders’ key issues on employment, labor-management relations, and the general business climate. Through this Conference, employers, national leaders, foreign investors, chambers of commerce, and corporate executive come up with a collective position on industrial relations and socio-economic concerns.

“It is through this event that we are able to massively raise awareness, voice out our stand on the most controversial and contentious issues, and come up with collective action that will push forward a business agenda,” he added.

NCE42 will have five half-day sessions slated at 1PM to 4PM on 21, 23, 25, 28, and 30 June 2021 via Zoom. Send us an email at [email protected] or register via https://bit.ly/NCE42.
