ECOP concludes SDG Value Scan roadshow in Cebu

Last 27-28 November 2023, ECOP, through the support of the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), conducted a series of sessions on the SDG Value Scan in Cebu.

This new service was created in response to the increasing demands for businesses to be more responsible and mindful of their impact on society and the environment. Through a consultancy session with ECOP, the SDG Value Scan tool intends to help companies identify which of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are most relevant to their business in terms of impact and added value. It is conducted on a one-on-one basis with the company and is composed of 6 to 8 participants from both management and employees from different departments in the company.

ECOP, with the assistance of Gruppo EMS – Laguna, conducted the sessions at the Gruppo EMS – Cebu and MinebeaMitsumi. Ms. Ellen Ferrer, Executive Director of Gruppo EMS’ FIF Foundation Inc., and Ms. Veronica Adriano, Gruppo EMS Treasurer also flew to Cebu to attend the said sessions. The sessions were facilitated by ECOP-DI SPA2 Project Coordinators Daniella Reyes and Angela Usero.

The service was developed with the support of DI, ECOP’s sister organization from Denmark, as part of the ongoing Strategic Partnership Agreement 2 (SPA 2). This partnership aims to promote and mainstream the SDGs and Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) in workplaces to help enterprises use these principles for business development and growth.

The Value Scan tool is being offered as a  FREE SERVICE by ECOP for a limited time period as we know the important role that the business sector plays in sustainability and national development. Sign up now to avail of a FREE half-day session via this link either via Zoom or face-to-face: https://bit.ly/ECOPSDGValueScan (2024 sessions)
