ECOP and DI run SDG Value Scan tool pilot sessions with selected enterprises from the food industry

ECOP, in partnership with the Confederation of the Danish Industry (DI), organized a one-on-one company learning session from April 19-20, 2023 at the 1898 Hotel Makati City to pilot test the Sustainable Development Goals or SDG Value Scan Tool, a guide created by DI for companies looking into integrating the SDGs in their business.

This activity is implemented under ECOP and DI’s second strategic partnership agreement (SPA2) project entitled “Strengthening Bipartite Relations and Promoting Green, Inclusive, and Sustained Growth” (2022-2025). This renewed collaboration aims to facilitate a more systematic and constructive social dialogue in the Philippines and promote just transition to climate and environment friendly production. It also seeks to promote and mainstream the SDGs and Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) as a means to achieve green and just transition taking into account occupational safety and health, diversity and inclusion, and business resiliency.

Facilitated by DI’s Senior Climate Adviser Ms. Anne Zaff, the sessions were attended by the ECOP Secretariat, as well as representatives from food manufacturing and exporting companies including Brandexports Philippines Inc. and Global Foodsolutions Inc.

Through the SDG Value Scan tool, ECOP and DI aim to help enterprises create more value for their business and society by aligning their business model to the UN SDGs.

ECOP and DI are set to conduct both face-to-face and virtual sessions with the aforementioned pilot enterprises, as well as new companies from other industries in 2023.
