The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) through its Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Committee welcomed the International Women’s Month by hosting the courtesy call from the Philippine Women Economic Network (PhilWEN) and its advocacy arm Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (PBCWE) on Thursday, 02 March 2023. ECOP was led by its President Sergio Ortiz-Luis, Jr.

The meeting discussed ways to further explore collaborations on policy advocacy and capacity-building programs that will advance its call to promote a diverse, gender-equal, and inclusive workplaces for all.

It can be recalled that ECOP and PhilWEN signed an MOU last August 2021 after ECOP committed to revive its long inactive Women and Gender Committee and expand it to make it into what is now known as D&I Committee.

ECOP is a staunch advocate for companies to become responsible employers by creating a more sustainable and inclusive workplace. Thus, ECOP’s D&I Committee, headed by its Chairperson Ms. Diana Pardo-Aguilar, is at the forefront in leading the efforts of employers to ensure that their policies and programs promote diversity, inclusivity, and gender equality.

PhilWEN serves as Co-chair of ECOP’s D&I Committee.
