✈️ HEADS UP! ✈️

Employment in the Philippines, skills development and entrepreneurship are among the priority reintegration pathways highly considered by OFWs. Employers and private sector groups are recognized as key actors to promote and support sustainable reintegration, and help facilitate employment, livelihood or skills development services or opportunities for OFWs and even their family members.

With this, the International Labour Organization (ILO), through the Safe and Fair and BRIDGE Programmes, is pleased to invite you to a one-day event on the “Consultation and Learning Session with Employers and Private Sector on Gender-Responsive and Sustainable Reintegration: Operationalizing the OFW Reintegration Advisor and Referral Pathways and Mapping the Roles, Programmes and Services of the Private Sector” on 02 February 2023 (Thursday), at 9am to 4pm.

This consultation aims to:

  1. Improve and deepen their understanding of OFW reintegration, particularly the context, drivers, needs and gender-dimensions;
  2. Improve their understanding and support the adoption and operationalization of the “OFW Reintegration Advisor and Referral Pathways”;
  3. Provide feedback or suggest improvements on the Reintegration Advisor;
  4. Map and share information and links to the reintegration-related programmes or services for OFWS/families that are or can be provided by employers and private sector groups for inclusion in the “OFW Reintegration Advisor and Referral Pathways”; and
  5. Identify ways to promote the use of OFW Reintegration Advisor and Referral Pathways among ECOP and its members, and employers and private sector groups.

The event will be conducted using a hybrid approach (onsite and online). Venue for onsite participants will be at the Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, while the meeting details for online participants will be sent upon confirmation of registration.
