The Philippine Business for Education (PBEd) is currently conducting a survey that aims to create a list of colleges and universities that companies hire their entry-level employees from. The hope is for this list to serve as an additional mechanism to ensure the quality of education in the country. This can be done not only by communicating industry employability standards, but also by introducing the industry’s ability to endorse schools and programs based on actual employment data thus motivating colleges and universities to meet industry standards.

The survey is being piloted in the sectors of banking, and hospitality and tourism in Regions III, VII, X, and NCR. With this, you may access the survey through this link: http://bit.ly/PreferredSchoolsSurvey2020. Should you have any questions or clarifications, please feel free to contact PBEd at [email protected] or at (02) 8242 9201.

PBEd is a non-profit organization that serves as the voice of industry towards education reform. Being at the forefront of Philippine Workforce Development, which aims to align education to the economy, part of what they do is to address youth unemployment by ensuring that education is responsive to the needs of the industry.
