About ECOP Chapters

As of the latest results of the Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry, there are some 900,000 registered establishments in the whole country ranging from micro to large enterprises. Of this number, only an approximate of 600 are regular members of ECOP.

Due to the geographical make up and economic diversity of the Philippines, chapters have a vital role to play in terms of providing representation and support to employers.

Since its establishment in 1975, ECOP’s territorial reach has been growing. As of today, ECOP recognizes four (4) area chapters under which fourteen (14) sub-chapters operate. These chapters are the conduits of ECOP outside the National Capital Region. They represent employers within their respective jurisdictions in consultation meetings and dialogues convened by the regional offices of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on labor management issues. When ECOP cascades some of its programs and training to the chapters, the chapters coordinate the preparation and provide the technical and administrative support.
