3-MONTH ONLINE ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM

October 14 – December 18, 2020

Program overview

“Recession is the best time to start a new business.”

COVID – 19 pandemic has hit the global economy that resulted in a recession. Economic downturns can propel entrepreneurship, and this is a good opportunity for people to start their business.

But starting a business entails risks. Most start-ups fail when they are not solving a market problem. They build a product that no one wants to buy. They focus on what they want rather than what consumers want.

Another thing is, they do not have any business plan to follow. Start-ups often rely on their gut feelings or copy what their competitors are offering.

Some start-ups fail to properly market their products. In the advent of digital marketing, some start-ups spend a huge amount of money on ads but have a low turnout of sales leads.

With these problems, ECOP, with the technical support of the Wadhwani Foundation, will be conducting an 3-month online entrepreneurship program to help start-ups and aspiring entrepreneurs develop a viable business. This course is not a livelihood program, participants will not be taught any specific trade, but rather they will learn how to launch a viable business that they should be willing to take a risk on.

The 3-month online entrepreneurship program is a mixture of online lessons focusing on the fundamental aspects of entrepreneurship, development of viable business, and coaching from industry leaders and experts.

At the end of the program, participants are expected to launch their business ventures or pivot their existing business to adapt to the “new normal.”.

Program objectives

At the end of the 3-month program, participants will be able to:
