Mental Health in the Workplace: How to Identify Employees at Risk

October 6, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Program Overview

Mental health doesn’t always stay the same. It can fluctuate as circumstances change and affect various aspects of our lives including work and career. Due to the drastic changes in the workplace caused by the pandemic, mental health is now considered a major issue among organizations. Employees are experiencing higher levels of stress, sadness, paranoia, anxiety, and feeling of isolation as companies shifted into new working arrangements. All these adjustments, accompanied by the growing rate of COVID-19 and its consequences, heightened a slew of negative emotions in employees’ everyday lives.

Addressing these mental health issues in the workplace is important to continuously nurture the wellbeing of the employee. Identifying employees who are at risk for mental health conditions will not only improve the quality of their work, but will make a bigger impact on their lives as well. It is necessary for companies to know the warning signs to create policies and interventions that would respond to the needs of both the employee and the business. Increased awareness of mental health in the workplace is essential in promoting a healthy working environment for all.

This 2-hour session will help participants learn and understand mental health scenarios in the workplace and how to identify if an employee is at risk.
