The Employers Confederation of the Philippines conducted an Executive Labor Updates entitled “PhilHealth and COVID-19: What Members Need to Know” on 12 May 2021, where we learned about the various benefit packages and services offered by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.
Ms. Abigail Estrada from the Benefits Development and Research Department of PhilHealth tackled the importance of providing coverage for quality and accessible health care services for all Filipinos under the Universal Health Care Act (UHC). Moreover, the webinar discussed the services that members can avail with the benefit packages, as well as the list of priority individuals for testing that are categorized into Subgroups A-J. Finally, Ms. Estrada gave us an overview of the upcoming benefit package for the Cartridge-based RT-PCR test and the currently developing home care package. These are some of the services PhilHealth members can look forward to over the next few months.
