The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), together with the Federation of Free Workers (FFW) and Danish Trade Union Development Agency (DTDA), will jointly organize a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Webinar Talakayan via Zoom entitled “The World of Work in the New Normal: The Role of Principles-Based, Inclusive and Business Sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility in Transitioning the World of Work During Pandemic” at 2:00 pm on 29 May 2020.

This webinar aims to discuss how to implement policies and ensure a safe workplace during the pandemic through a principles-based, inclusive and business sustainable CSR approach. It aims to help employers and workers jointly and collaboratively draft an enterprise-level policy based on the DTI-DOLE Interim Guidelines.

Mr. Arun Kumar of the International Labor Organization (ILO) Decent Work Team – Asia and the Pacific will discuss how social dialogue can help combat COVID-19 in the workplace and feature successful case studies from other countries where social dialogue was utilized. Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Assistant Secretary Ma. Teresita S. Cucueco will discuss the main points of the DTI-DOLE Interim Guidelines focusing on the duties of employers and workers. Lastly, representatives from Globe Telecom will share their best practices as they foster strong management-union cooperation during the Enhanced Community Quarantine Period.
