On March 23, 2021, ECOP conducted a half-day activity entitled ‘21st Century Workplace: Leadership Skills for the Workforce’.

During the half-day activity, ECOP signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with various industry associations for the implementation of ECOP’s Soft Skills Development Program which will capacitate them in providing critical soft skills training to their employees and members across the Philippines. The industry associations that signed the MOU are the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (PHILEXPORT), Philippine Hotel Owners Association, Inc. (PHOAI), Philippine Association of Legitimate Service Contractors (PALSCON), and Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (PBCWE).

ECOP also conducted a 2-hour demo workshop on leadership skills which provided the participants with a preview of how the ‘In Business’ modules under the Soft Skills Development Program are ran.

The half-day activity is joint initiative of ECOP and the Philippine Women’s Economic Network (PhilWEN) under the recently established Diversity and Inclusion Committee made possible by the support of the International Labour Organization. It is also one of ECOP’s activities to commemorate National Women’s Month.
