Designing Your Company’s Salary Structure Through Job Evaluation

As often said, “Pay is a powerful communicator of values and direction.” Having a well-planned and designed rewards system does more than the usual goal of attract-retain-motivate. It should also be aligned or based on an HR strategy that is linked with a business blueprint. Pay principles may remain the same for all employee groups, but the design must recognize differences in each group.
This workshop is designed to provide principles in compensation planning and design for the various employee groups in an organization. It offers insights on how to design salary structure for Executives, Exempts and Non-exempts. Pay administration practices will likewise be discussed to address pay programs and issues such as salary reviews, pay compressions, red circles, etc.
At the end of the workshop participants will learn about the elements of a rational salary administration program, job analysis, job factors, job rating plan, salary surveys, compensation policies, and how to design an effective salary structure.

Mr. Perfecto is currently the President of Magnitude Human Resources Development, which he organized in 1989. He is an accredited Fellow in Personnel Management (FPM) and past Vice President of the PMAP Society of Fellows in Personnel Management.
A PMAP Director for 6 terms, Mr. Perfecto held the position of Board Secretary in 1993, and Chairman of various committees over the past years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Santo Tomas. Prior to management consulting, Mr. Perfecto held top-level human resource management; positions at Gillette Philippines, Trans-Philippines Investment Corporation, GKP (a subsidiary of Dunlop Australia), Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, GTE industries, 3M (Philippines), and Trans-Asia Philippines (Architects and Engineers).
