Designing Your Company’s Salary Structure Through Job Evaluation

Program overview:

A company’s job evaluation program plays a vital role in determining a company’s salary structure inasmuch as a worker’s salary must be fair and reasonable in connection with the job performed by the same. A job evaluation is a tool employers use to measure each position’s contribution level to the company. Hence, it is important that management perform a job evaluation in order to have a basis for the pay structure of its company.

This 2-day workshop is designed to provide guiding principles in compensation planning for various employee groups in an organization, whether it is big or small. It offers insights on how to design salary structure by using job evaluation and salary surveys. Pay administration practices shall likewise be discussed to address pay programs and issues such as salary reviews, pay compressions, red circles, among others. In sum, the program shall aide companies, particularly HR practitioners, in benchmarking their organization’s compensation and benefits structure.

Resource Person:


Mr. Perfecto is currently the President of Magnitude Human Resources Development, which he organized in 1989. He is an accredited Fellow in Personnel Management (FPM) and past Vice President of the PMAP Society of Fellows in Personnel Management.

A PMAP Director for 6 terms, Mr. Perfecto held the position of Board Secretary in 1993, and Chairman of various committees over the past years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Santo Tomas. Prior to management consulting, Mr. Perfecto held top-level human resource management; positions at Gillette Philippines, Trans-Philippines Investment Corporation, GKP (a subsidiary of Dunlop Australia), Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, GTE industries, 3M (Philippines), and Trans-Asia Philippines (Architects and Engineers).
