Employer and labor groups jointly attended a communication planning workshop on 11-12 April 2019 in Tagaytay City as part of the “Strengthening Bipartite Relations at the National and Enterprise Levels,” project of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) which is supported by the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI).
The workshop focused on the journalistic aspects of communication. Being part of both groups requires lobbying and while journalism is not exactly lobbying, journalism proves to be useful in getting people to care about the advocacies of both groups. What gets noticed by the media, gets talked about in public.
In attendance were representatives from the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), Philippine Chamber of Commerce (PCCI), Philippine Exporters Confederation (PHILEXPORT), Federation of Free Workers (FFW), Sentro ng Nagkakaisa at Progresibong Manggagawa (SENTRO), and the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP).
