The Employers Confederation of the Philippines, in partnership with the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization based in Turin, Italy, is entering the second phase of the project “Promoting Responsible Business Conduct in Supply Chain Intermediaries” or RBC.
“Phase 2: Strengthening Impact” aims at building on the positive results from the first phase of the project which run from September 2018 to September 2019. In September 2018, ECOP, together with the Philippine Exporters Confederation (PHILEXPORT), fielded a total of 10 trainers to attend the Training of Trainers course on RBC and occupational safety and health (OSH) in Bangkok, Thailand.
The second phase will consolidate and cascade the current training service to sectoral organizations and/or regional chapters of ECOP as well as PHILEXPORT. The project will train a new set of master trainers and will equip ECOP with online learning platforms to complement the face-to-face training.
The RBC Project, sponsored by the Walt Disney Company, is expected to run until October 2021. Aside from the Philippines, other country beneficiaries will include India, Argentina, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico.
