From 20 August to 03 September 2019, the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) conducted a program on “Industrial Relations (IR) and Human Resource Management (HRM)” at the Tokyo Kenshu Center (TKC), Tokyo, Japan.

The program aimed to deepen the understanding of the participants on the Japanese labor situation as well as Japanese IR and HRM practices through lectures and company visits to illustrate the basic concepts of human resource management that are based on fostering a trusting relationship between labor and management.

The program was attended by representatives from employer organizations or from member companies/organization of 17 countries namely: Bangladesh (BEF), Cambodia (CAMFEBA), Fiji Islands (FCEF), India (EFI), Indonesia (APINDO), Lao P.D.R. (LNCCI), Malaysia (MEF), Mongolia (MONEF), Myanmar (UMFCCI), Nepal, (FNCCI-EC), , Pakistan (EFP), the Philippines (ECOP), South Africa (BUSA), Sri Lanka (EFC), Thailand (ECOT), Turkey (TISK), Vietnam (VCCI). Ms. Marianne Faith Rosas of the ECOP Advocacy, Research and Communications Department attended the 15-day program.
