As Metro Manila and other parts of the country slowly proceed to new normal operations, enterprises continue to struggle for survival, recovery, and continuity. COVID-19 remains to be an invisible threat not only to people’s health but also to the social and economic lives of the people.

To respond to this forthcoming situation, the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) are jointly organizing a free 2-day webinar session entitled “Responsible and Sustainable Enterprises in times of COVID-19” on 29-30 June 2020 at 10:00 AM up to 12:00 NN.

This webinar session will focus on the relevance of socially responsible labor practices in the time of the COVID-19 crisis and the subsequent recovery. It will discuss the impacts of the pandemic on Philippine supply chains and in the economy, in general. Moreover, it will also present an outlook on the impact that this pandemic has had on global supply chains and discuss policy guidelines as well as practical examples on how enterprises and the government must address the current crisis.

Resource persons will come from various organizations such as the ILO, European Union (EU), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and a company representative who will be sharing their responsible business efforts in response to COVID-19.

The webinar brings together participants from enterprises as well as various government agencies and think tanks.
