Sergio Ortiz-Luis Jr, President of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), presents a testimonial to honor the memory of the late Donald G. Dee  to Ofelia Dee as ECOP President Emeritus Ancheta K. Tan look on. ECOP honored Mr. Dee, who served as its President for two-terms in 2000-2003 and 2016-2018, during the 40th National Conference of Employers held on 28-29 May 2019 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Marriott Hotel Manila. He was remembered for his active participation in various private sector and government initiatives that shaped the policy environment for growth and development that generated jobs and investments, for his contributions in strengthening tripartism and unifying the employers’ sector where he promoted his advocacies on social compliance, reproductive health, and social dialogue long before they became buzzwords, and for his genuine concern to the welfare of the workers who he considered as indispensable partners in ensuring prosperity and decent work for all. 

 

The Board of Governors of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP)  conferred a testimonial to the late ECOP President Donald G. Dee during the 40th National Conference of Employers (NCE 40). His spouse, Mrs. Ofelia Dee, received the testimonial.

Dee was cited for being a “passionate leader” and “stalwart in industry” and a staunch advocate of and for employers, for his active participation in various private sector and government initiatives that shaped the policy environment for growth and development that generates jobs and investments.

Dee was also noted for his contributions in strengthening tripartism and unifying the employers’ sector by taking active leadership roles in ECOP for two terms (2000 to 2003 & 2016 to 2018) where he promoted his advocacies on social compliance, reproductive health, and social dialogue long before they became buzzwords, and for his genuine concern to the general welfare of the workers who he considered as indispensable partners in ensuring prosperity and decent work  for all.
