The “principles-based, inclusive and business sustainable corporate social responsibility (CSR)” project stakeholders composed of Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), Federation of Free Workers (FFW), and Danish Trade Union Development Agency (DTDA) paid a courtesy call and had consultation meeting with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) last 17 September 2019 at SBMA Office, Subic.

The team was welcomed by Atty. Ruel John T. Kabigting, Deputy Administrator for Administration of SBMA, together with the other members of the labor-management council, including their SBMA Union President, Mr. Panfilo S. Jurilla.

The agenda of the meeting was to have an in-depth discussion of the CSR project cooperation and the finalization of the details for the upcoming exploratory workshop on social dialogue and CSR with SBMA management and union representatives on October 9-11, 2019 at Clark, Pampanga.

The workshop will provide management and workers’ representatives with the knowledge and skills on the concept, principles, and practices of principles-based, inclusive and business sustainable corporate social responsibility (CSR). It will also include sessions on how to promote social dialogue in the workplace.

Ms. Rhodora Snyder and Ms. Shiela Ramos, ECOP CSR manager and coordinator, respectively, represented ECOP in the consultation meeting.
