Under the ECOP and the Confederation of Industry (DI) project entitled “Strengthening Bipartite Relations at the National and Enterprise Levels,” the Bipartite Technical Working Group (TWG) members conducted a Communication Planning Workshop last October 28 at I’M Hotel, Makati City. The Bipartite TWG is composed of representatives from the ECOP, PCCI, and PHILEXPORT for the business sector and FFW, TUCP, and SENTRO for the labor sector.
In order to generate stakeholder awareness, understanding, buy-in, engagement, and commitment, the technical working group of the project was tasked to develop a communication plan. The communication plan will serve as a tool of the dialogue partners to formalize and sustain a mechanism for communicating the objectives and programs of the project to the public and the mainstream media.
During the meeting, the TWG has identified the tagline “BIPARTISM WORKS!” as the peak message of the communication plan. Moreover, the following principles have been identified by the group as a guide in putting out messages:
- Decent work-responsive with social accountability and protection,
- Interesting and impactful,
- Gender-sensitive,
- Inclusive and sustainable growth,
- Transparency, and
- Social dialogue
This communication plan shall be effective beginning in October 2019 towards September 2021.
