The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) and the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) jointly organized a 2-day training program entitled “Occupational Safety and Health Management and Work Improvement” last 12-13 November 2019 at Paseo Premiere Hotel, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The training was conducted by Dr. Etsuko Yoshikawa of the Japanese Red Cross – College of Nursing. Dr. Yoshikawa shared the Japanese practices on how to conduct hazard identification and risk assessment and control. Dr. Yoshikawa also gave some tips on how to improve the workplace through participatory OSH methodology.

A company visit at Daiwa Seiko Philippines Corporation was also conducted as part of the program. The company showcased its OSH programs and an OSH inspection was conducted thereafter by the participants.

Representatives from AOTS, Mr. Mahito Yoshimura and Ms. Machi Hasegawa, were also present in the training program.
